Help for Specific Needs
Private lessons are a powerful way to utilize the Anat Baniel Method, especially when addressing a specific need. In the process of achieving an individual goal, you will feel energized, alive, and more comfortable in your body...often rediscovering the pleasure of movements not performed since childhood.
Feldenkrais has studied the body in movement with a precision that I have found nowhere else.
Peter Brook, Film and Stage Director
You might choose individual sessions for many reasons: to gain freedom from chronic pain, to recover more quickly from a specific injury, to counteract the effect of aging on balance and strength, to perform better in sport, or to reach higher levels in the performing arts.
I can't say enough good things about the Feldenkrais Method. I believe its made the difference between continuing my competitive running career and retiring prematurely.
Chris Boyd, 1992 US Track National Champion (5,000 meters)"
Through customized lessons at Honest Evolution, you will gain personal awareness of how you hold tension while learning new ways to release it. You will reorganize your body for greater effectiveness, discovering the inter-relationship between its different parts. You will learn to move in ways that you forgot, or never realized in the first place. And you will begin moving more powerfully, precisely, and without pain, to perform at a higher level.
With Feldenkrais, the emphasis is always on comfort, ease, and learning without pain or force. Each session begins with an individual assessment of the way you walk, move, and stand. We'll discuss your desired outcome, and then combine my observations with your goals to create a lesson designed specifically for you. While you are sitting, standing, or lying on a padded table, I will present new information to your nervous system by moving you in various ways that provide options for acting - and therefore living - more comfortably. You will experience comfort, pleasure, and ease of movement.
